Syrupy maraschino cherry nose. Pretty different for grenache. Some provincial herbs
No rough edges. Not ultra rich but not ultra light either. More cherry on the palate, the slightest hints of vanilla. A medium swell of licorice tannins around the mid-palate but it backs off before being cloying.
There’s a confidence to the nose and palate here and while it’s not my absolute personal favorite, the wine offers a cohesive statement that's unique and worth trying.

We are excited to be growing clone 513 on the Curtis Estate, right here next to the winery. Our Estate Grown offering definitely shows off the extra hand and ground work in the vineyard. We were extremely restrictive of yield to ensure that we could ripen, harvest, ferment, age, and bottle a rich, dark, fruity-yet-spicy Grenache. This is certainly a fun drinking wine!

Aroma is of red licorice. The first taste is smooth and floral, then turns peppery, spicy, and astringent. The taste of raspberries and citrus zest finish this fine wine. It is not easy to pair a wine with corned beef and cabbage. But, this one is well suited to the St. Patrick's Day dish.

Notes of strawberry, hint of old world funkiness, on nose. Light acidity, balanced, fruit with stony mineraliness. Medium body, medium finish.
