A rather neutral wine. Pristine Diam closure. Not much nose, a bit of apple. Quite clean with a decent finish. As noted minerality over acid. Pleasant enough but not worth seeking out in this price range. Nice with sea bass. A white Bordeaux or Hunter semillion probably more interesting.

2015 Terre Nere (Chicago, IL): While this is definitely a style of wine that I'm not particularly fond of, I still found this to be really well-executed. There's a waxiness and oiliness on the palate, but it seems to be balanced by extract and minerality rather than acidity. The fruit profile here is really ripe, almost to the point of overripe for me, but the mineral extract and hint of backend bitterness seems to keep the fruit character from getting out of hand.

Somewhat mellow acidity, lots of mineral, vanilla and oak.

Tasty with good acidity, fruity with lots of minerals and smoke at the finish.
