approx £16 at Ministryofdrinks.com, UK Screw cap. Tasted well chilled, October 2016.
Good perfectly accepable correctly made, but not outstanding Gisborne chardy. I expected a wee bit more. By most accounts the (much) more expensive Clos St. Anne label Chardonnay is by some distance a better wine.
2013 is a 'forward' vintage in this part of the North Island, and I agree with that having tasted this again.
C....pale straw. At 3 yrs I expected it be deeper, but no big deal.
N....Not much, if I'm honest: bit of wood, some apples and caramel, pretty insipid/boring.
T....a lot of sweet oak and ripe fruit, a bit simple. Good enough, but I expected more. not thrilling, no seductive, not complex, nor charming. Med-dry. Short.
I need to bite the bullet and buy some Clos St. Anne, shouldn't have stopped off at this cheaper label.
VFM?....probably won't buy again.

Brief note only, tasted at the annual NZ Trade Tasting London 2015
Nose was oddly mute; light-medium body only; nice fresh acid, some good long flavours and power. Not overly oaky, happily.
RR price £17.00.....is worth that - just.
