  • Perfect dark purple color, richer and deeper than expected. Noticeable dry tannins upon hitting the lips. Nice hint of chocolate on the nose and palate. Still young. Heavy but appropriate use of new oak. Typical Michigan elegance, less full bodied than from almost any other Cabernet producing region. Expressive, ever so slightly sweet, blueberry, mulberry and plum. Basically rounded and smooth, but there is some underlying, sneaky power and structure. Quite nice and a little unique. Better than expected.
