  Dark garnet. Full bodied.
  Charcuterie characteristics. Some Cedar. Licorice
  Smooth. Some acidity. Longish finish. Some sour cherries.
  Really nice food pairing wine. Went perfect with the fillets.
  
  MAGNUMS are better!!!

  DoubleD Fest (Carlsbad, California): 13% alcohol. Magnum, not decanted. Clear deep dark blood-ruby red color. Lovely bouquet of red cherries, cherry liqueur, red currants, leather, tobacco, stony red soil, spice. Similar on the palate, medium-full body, seamless, excellent balance and structure.

  Excellent structure. Complex with mature fruit and evolvement. Drinking well now but can last even longer.
