Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 94 points

  • A blend of Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino grapes that undergo appassimento for approximately 2.5 months before vinification. It also sees 24 months of aging in small oak barrels. Deep amber in color with a brown hue. The nose is clean, intense, with aromas of candied orange peel, toffee, caramel, dried apricots, salted almonds and honey. The palate is medium sweet, but balanced by medium (+) acidity. The alcohol is high at 14.5%, but is well integrated. The palate confirms the nose with intense flavors that appear more youthful than the nose. This is a full-bodied dessert wine, with a creamy mouthfeel and a slight saltiness to the long finish.
