Dark core with magenta rim. Blackberry, blueberry, black pepper, and vanilla on the nose and palate. Full and generous mouthfeel. Some tannins and a heady mineral acidity. Smooth medium length finish.
This after 2 days at 4C, kept in the stopped bottle. Initially the nose and palate were highly reductive and did present what another taster described as "sweaty socks". If that had persisted I would have scored it similarly, but a couple of days in the refrigerator worked wonders.
Not a great bottle. Not a bad bottle.

color: medium-dark purple; nose: oak and vanilla; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, smooth red fruit taste, medium-length finish with notes of black pepper and cola and tasty tannins; overall: only ordinary -- young, brash, and slightly hot as of Oct 2016, fair to weak QPR at $17/bottle

(opened 24 hours ago) color: garnet x purple velvet; nose: earth, oak, and a hint of sweaty socks; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, plum fruit taste with green pepper notes, medium-length chalky and slightly hot finish with notes of black pepper and plentiful tannins; overall: disappointing -- entirely ordinary, awkward and young as of Summer 2016 -- I wouldn't bother to pour it again for another 18 months...at which point, perhaps, it could develop and mature, terrible QPR at $18/bottle (package store, admittedly, but still...) Tons of better malbecs are available for less $!

A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red, with currants, plum, chocolate and spice, easy drinking. www.winelx.com
