Has gained weight in the bottle since last year but after the 2004 Chateau des Tours this came across as clumsy, extracted and too big. The fruit is dark/black on the palate and there is a display of garrigue, animal fur, licorice and smoke. It probably is a decent wine to enjoy with grilled meats but somehow I just don't find anything Pegau enjoyable anymore.

Rather stern and austere. Some decent peppery notes, but the fruit and mouthfeel were on the chunky side. Was expecting more.

OK Red Burgundy. Drank with a dinner of appetizers. Paired much better with brie than with pate

No formal notes, but much improved compared to the last bottle. Better value CdR out there.
