A delicious streak of yellow fruit/honeysuckle/almond/melon with an umami gloss throughout, offset by a touch of oxidation and pith. I generally don't care for oxidative whites, but this was below my threshold of annoyance, really just a hint that added a flavor component rather than a blurring/overshadowing effect. It's possible that the oxidation will fade instead of grow, as some Rhones do, in which case the secondary complexity to follow could be sublime. Having said that, I'd err on the side of drinking these sooner.

movie night (in spirit, Santa Barbara, CA): deep carnation-yellow gold color. Nose some brine and light rubber notes, then more stone fruit notes with time. Palate oily richness though it does have some brightness, prominent stone fruit, good depth.
Definitely on the richer side for a white but good balance and enjoyable. 90 pts

Stoney fruit. Acidity. Mineral. Good with food but probably not sipping by itself

Like Rhone versions this wine has a unique weight and mouthfeel. Yellow fruit with clove, spice, and herbs. It's a white wine that drinks like a red.

NOSE: honeysuckle; mineral; faint mortadella. Richer on Day 3, but same aromatic profile as Day 1.
BODY: rich, green-tinged golden yellow color; medium to medium-full bodied.
TASTE: dry --- almost a touch tannic; not much fruit; hay; 14.3% alc. not noticeable; medium-low acidity; light oak. Same on Day 3. Hold.
