A sort of buckwheat nose (I can't think of an exact descriptor but this gets halfway there). Lovely savory, green, and mineral flavors and textures in the mouth. There may be hints of tropical fruit one moment, perhaps hints of orchard fruit the next, but this wine is more about the savory... and it is singing!

Compared to other reviews this number might seem excessive, but I'm absolutely amazed by this bottle. Archetype of a mineral-driven wine. Everything beautifully integrated. Long and strong finish, only around the two-minute mark some vanilla and violet appear.

Nikolaihof tasting (Oinoscent): The wine shows depth, green fruit, spicy, quince, lemon peel, green pepper, white pepper, yeast notes, very pleasant and looking "serious", would benefit from decanting. In the palate, the wine shows depth, light to medium body, medium acidity,green fruit, high acidity, both feet on the natural side, a touch Brett-y, long finish with CO2 spikes

This was in a perfect place tonight.
