  • This is a big wine. If you like the style you will find this rich, vibrant and delicious. We loved it with a grilled ribeye.

  • Still going strong since my last bottle 4 years ago. Great structure and this looks to be quite long-lived.

  • This is a big beast of a wine. Took some time to settle back easy Jim (GD reference:)). . . After it did settle in, it was fantastic. Blueberries, dark fruit, elegant, and smooth. Paired great with Blue Cheese Burgers cooked on my buddy's backyard grill with his wife's Crack Orzo. All of this led, of course, to guitars, and we jammed a couple hours into the night. I brought my John 5 Ghost. A perfect Fall night on a beautiful Fall evening in spectacular Utah. Cheers!!

  • Outstanding -- a particularly good bottle of James Berry! Great dark fruit, tasted much younger than a 9 year old wine. A bit of charcoal. Great dark fruit.

  • Had two bottles within 6 days, and providing notes and numbers for second bottle which was slightly better (96 v 92). still nearly opaque purple with a strange bit of red at core. A bit hollow for first 20 minutes after decanting, then began putting out deep fruit of cherries and plum, but also mushroom. I could have guessed it was not a Bordeauxnot a Bordeaux or any cab or Merlot based wine, but truthfully, could not have ruled out a big CA PN like a high ABV Bevan or Peter Michael's. Tertiary odors also started to emerge after 75 to 90 min--cigar box, tobacco. Very, very good bottle of a large, fruit - forward (but not pathologically so) CA SOMETHING (I forget what where the exact blends, but reminded me of a Rhone Ranger).
