Bright acid and ripe fruit, with substantial body and length. Everything meshes together very well in this wine. Lovely mineral character -- like a salty tang -- that is characteristic of alpine wines from this region.

Popped and poured. Not really sure what to think of this wine. I poured a glass and it was a really dark yellow (dehydrated piss yellow). I immediately thought it was either oxidized or a bad bottle. Neither, as it didn't exhibit any of the tell-tale aromas or flavors of oxidation, TCA, or heat. It was just damn dark yellow! Not enough chalkiness, rocks, or citrus for what I like in Savoie. It was an enjoyable bottle, mind you, just not an alpine white worth seeking out. 87pts.

P: Med body; Rnd entry with almost swtish frt, yet with some crispness, bitterness entering mid palate, then slowly subsiding into the long finish. (At least towards the end, I actually found the bitterness enticing.) Well made, & I can see it improving through mid-'17 min.
