  • Surprisingly good for an oaky, buttery chardonnay. Everything has smoothed down quite a bit. The oak has receded, which makes for a more balanced chardonnay with grapefruit, honeysuckle and lemon rind providing the acidity to balance out the buttery element. Quite a good value at 14.99 a bottle. Smooth and really delicious with grilled salmon, smashed potatoes with feta garlic sauce and a asparagus salad. Wish we had a few more cellared!

  • Lighter amber. Oak spices on the nose and palate. A little heavy handed in that department for me. Not a clean enough finish. Enjoyable still and was popular with everyone.
The wine looks straw colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like medium toast, oak and nutmeg. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has medium acidity.
