  • Light red colour. This time the wine offered intense, cooked red fruit, intense strawberry, red currant, spices and lavender as well as hints of anise, tea and tobacco on the nose and palate, with medium-minus acidity, a touch tannin, a good mouthfeel and very good length. The wine dipped a little on the mid-palate, but other than that had good complexity and very good concentration. Not the most food-friendly wine. Synthetic cork – drink soon.

  • Synthetic cork – a shame! The wine was light red in colour and offered red fruit, red cherry, red currant, some raspberry, herbs, lavender and anise on the nose and palate, with medium-minus acidity. The medium- to full-bodied wine had good complexity, but the fruit seemed pruny, the alcohol came through a little bit, and the wine fell-off on the mid-palate. It also did not pair well with our chicken salad with Balsamico dressing and red meat would have probably been a better pairing.
