Good, but not worth the price of admission. Better on day 2, but nothing that exciting to make me seek out again. Picked up for $100 on a bin sale from Benchmark, but wouldn't pay more than $75 for it.

This was a little all over the place. Fine grained sweet tannins. Some middle to dark fruits, apricots sweetness, spice. Clipped finish. Lacked the definition and depth I’d expect at its price point and winemaker.

Seventh of the blind wines this evening, a few ringers amongst the three Celia Welch wines we were trying tonight.
Dark purplish ruby red. Even with six hours decanting this is still a little tight with notes of cinnamon, a light touch of caramel, vanilla, anise and blackberries. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Rounded and rich on the palate with layered spices, cassis, black currants and tobacco. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2036.
