I bought a half case this wine after reading a Wine Spectator article on northern Burgundian wines. The article called out this wine and it’s maker specifically, so I figured it was worth a try.
After three bottles, I have to report that this wine is not very good. It is so tart that it rivals offerings from the Sour Patch Kids. There are some floral and berry notes on the nose but the palate is just flat and tart.
If this were an OR or CA pinot, it would be $10, Wine Spectator would have never written about it and I never would have purchased it.

Sweet and fruity nose. Oaky and grounded finish. Mid palate is replete with fleshy fruit and a structured acidity that lasts.
Had this in a blind tasting of pinot. initially did not think this was burgundy, at this price point it's a nice bargain, more fruit than anticipated.
PostScript, even the next day the fruit sustained, and the wine remains flavorful. I look forward to having another one in a year or so and seeing how it changes.
