  • The oak seems pushed a millimeter up, so suspicious of 'boiling'. Indeed the side of the oak showed some taint, but it was ok. High in alcohol, 15%. Very similar to the previous bottle, still nice, fruity with dark fruits, prominent vanilla, oak, some mushroom and coffee. A bit more tannic than the previous bottle. Anyway a very nice medium plus bodied Rioja.

  • Very similar to the previous vintage. Dark purplish garnet. High in alcohol, 15%. Very oaky with notes of vanilla, balsamic, cacao and dark fruits. Of course still very young, so it has pretty high acidity and not fully integrated yet, but will be much more balanced within 2 years. The same long~ nice finish. Now 91+/100. Would be 92/100 next year.
