Showing a tiny bit of age with a little bit of mushroom au jus creeping in. Still a very vibrant, full-bodied Cabernet Franc. Poured a deep maroon to the glass. Entry of sweet red and purple fruit. A hint of mushroom au jus, smoky. Finishes with some fig and red cola nuances. Rather enjoyable with chicken sweet potato casserole. I can't say this one we will hold another 10 years, but at 9 years post vintage it is actually doing rather well. If you have these, I would say now is the time to drink it if you want notes that are a great balance of youthful with a hint of age. But this has the structure that you can set it back another three to five years no problem.

  SADLY ONE LEFT AND THIS wine has continued to improve. now pop n pour. wonderful from sip one. so well balanced ssshh don't let Robert Young know how good this is. sensational for the money

  A little divergence from the bottle of 9-ish months ago. The nose on this wine was a little bit red fruited but there was a lot of savory character on the nose and entry too. On the entry, this one had a third black cherry, a third cherry cola, and a third herbal & green olive with a hint of red sweet slightly underripe plums. The middle and finish are pretty dense and round and definitely still shows quite a bit of sweet character and youthful presence. This wine is definitely a monster, and the remaining ones need to be held for at least 2-3 more years before attempting to open.

  PnP. Big fat nose of black cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and oak. The oak is my only complaint - a beautiful wine but please hold the vanilla ice cream that comes with it. Otherwise, perfect balance of fruit, tannin, acid, drinking well, no need to wait...

  The best Cabernet Franc on the table. Although it really did not have much competition. This was the ONLY Cabernet Franc on the table! This one had lots of black cherry, graphite, cocoa, cola, and pie space to the front and middle. The finish still showed moderate astringency with a fair amount of oak, yet this was probably just about as approachable as I have ever seen a bottle of this Cabernet Franc. I would say this one is probably one to two years away from a pop and pour!
