Smells strong and savory. But... sorry I'm not there folks. The $30 Faiveley Clos Rond was better. Let's keep it real, forget the price tag on this. This can easily pass for a $12 pinot. I wanted to like it, trust me.

Burgundy Flight (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Red center. Earthy aromatics. Medium weight with good mid-palate coverage and feel. Red/black fruit mixture with licorice and smokiness. Good acidity, properly dry, tannic finish. Balanced Nuits that needs a good 5+ years. It might have been the best of the reds today, and when was the last time I said that about a Latour wine? Granted, the competition was not that stiff.

Very nice wine; good structure and abundant dark fruit, cassis, bramble, black cherry, nice finish.
