  Fuller bodied than expected with a round mouthfeel and nice (but definitely not searing) acidity to keep the finish fresh. Tart green apple with a nice and not cloying sweetness. Great label— love the magisterial German wine labels.

  Pale lemon colour. Initially a rather mute, very saline, toasty nose - tuna fish at best. Thankfully, with air, this blows off to leave a gently floral lime aroma. Broad, sweet taste, lots of juicy mandarin and plenty of minerals. Rather full for a Kabinett, with good character. Generous and bright. [Natural cork; 8.5% abv; Oddbins, £15.75].
