Our last bottle of this, and this one has been the best. Still has great acidity and full flavor. Fruit is still present, but mature. Just a luscious sip on a May evening. Wish I still had some.

This is distinct but not really in a way that ticked our fancy. Color was really noticeably golden. It's got minerality (salinity very noticeable) but also a lemon citrus. A bit of that sappy, nutty (pecans perhaps?) White Rhone like dominated the finish, and while it was okay on its own and went decently well with some of our fish plates for Christmas dinner, it struggled with appetizers and was downright unpleasant with chocolate cookies. I wouldn't say this was worth the hype but could be special with the right partner food-wise.

We've opened several bottles over the past 6 or so years, and each time this wine has improved. Today's was the best so far. Amazing that it has retained a nice level of acidity. Good minerality. A little mint creeps in. Paired wonderfully with some lamb liver pate'. Really sorry there's only one bottle left in the cellar.
