Strong and bold red with mild tannin structure. Good as a sipper or paired with cheeses and stronger meats (we had with lamb). Affordable but we've returned for three consecutive vintages.

Nicely done for what is apparently a weeknight red. Happy hour at Il Fornaio Carmel. Stood up well against the Chianti served alongside of it. Dusty black fruits with a touch of cinders in the finish. (= Worth Seeking Out If Under $10)

The working man's Montepulciano notes Bill. Lots of fruit on the nose. No barnyard. Fresh, easy does it.

Just a taste, this seemed fine though perhaps a notch below the Recent Masciarelli.
