  • Tasted blind. 20 minute decant.

Pale cherry core and clear rim. Slight show of age as the wine thins on the edge of the glass. Beautiful. 5. Presumed Pinot based on color.

Nose of cherry, vanilla, orange peel, minerality and earth. Wine is sound and clean. 12

Cherry, herb, cola, still quite tannic, tobacco, wet granite, orange zest and black tea. Medium body. On the young side... BUT DELICIOUS. 17

Finish is lingering and complex. 40 seconds or so. Well balanced and could still use several years. 8

Guessed Pinot on appearance. Suggested youthful on nose for old world. Guessed about 10 years of age, and decided to stay just short of 10 years. 2014 Burgundy. Didn't bother to try the Climat. Still learning.

Could use more air and/or time in the bottle. Possible 94-95 at peak.
