  • Opened this at Majestic Restaurant last night with my army buddies and his new found girlfriend.

Pale straw in colour with white stone fruits and some tropical grass notes. Acidic and dry with a cool finish.

    Served well chilled.

  • So here's a different one, a blend of 86% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Chardonnay, and 4% Gewürztraminer from Concha y Toro's value-oriented Casillero del Diablo range. And, as the variety mix would suggest, it's like a tempered Sauvignon Blanc (in a way that Chilean Sauvignon Blanc is already like a tempered -- less sharp, more sweet and plump -- New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc), with light gooseberry and guava softened by pineapple and peach, acidity provided by zesty lemon, additional softness and sweetness provided by mild honey. The palate sees the addition of a white floral note, and it's all quite lovely, both delicate and refreshing.
