A little bit of a let down. The Spring Valley Vineyard Uriah was better, though slightly different styles. Dried dark fruit, dates, figs and a slight amount of tobacco leaf.

Opaque medium garnet color. Nose of cedar shavings, cassis, currant, graphite, violets. Layers of black currant, deep-drilling blackberry, iodine, soy, and an interesting hint of green on the integrated palate. Bright acidity and smoothed tannin. Long finish of currant, sweet berry, leather, and satisfying grip. Bell-like clarity and still-youthful energy. Superb!

Amazing! It is in its prime, plenty of currant, plum, dark berry, spice, smoke, and a little celery. Paired with Italian herb and red wine beef brisket in InstantPot (2014 chateau seguin).
