Purple black colour with a dirty hue. Shrubs, pepper, stewed plums, spice. Plum, blueberry, dark chocolate, asparagus. Full body, long and smooth. Well balanced with fresh acidity. Fruit shows well but the depth and body stands out. The last and best of a six pack.

Black brick red with a dirty rim. Dusty, hot aroma. Sweet plum, raspberry, stewed rhubarb. Nice sweet start, no decanting necessary. Easy drinking. Medium body, light fine tannin. Ripe acidity. No sophistication but it’s not what it was aiming for. Drink over the next few years. Went well with a cheese plate, a bit too well, I think I nearly drank the bottle.

Black crimson colour. Light ar9ma of spice, pepper and wormwood. Subdued flavour, it is a Friday night after a busy week, so I probably didn’t give it any time to breath. Reasonably smooth, but still lively acidity. Medium body, blackberry, mocha, greens.

Dark plum colour. Dry spicy aroma. Black currant, blueberry, sweet plum, pepper, some shrubs. Medium body (just), medium to long finish, very fine tannin, balanced acidity, maybe a bit flat. Smooth, pleasant and enjoyable. Picked up for $14 in their December members special, no complaints.

Blackberry jam and smoke. Cherry. Smooth tannins. Lingering raisin finish.
