Amber colour. Burnt aroma, hint of tar. Good flavour of bitter orange marmalade, tea, apple sauce, balancing acidity. Aftertaste a little of tobacco. Very good.

Tasted at a social event, hence brief notes only. A complex bouquet of fine saffron note, albeit less intense than you’d see in a Sauternes, dried apples and pear fruit, caramelized nuts and varied herbal dimensions. Amazing palate with impeccable balance and a creamy texture laced with crisp acidity. Third time this year having it with consistently good performance.

Finely layered notes of candid fruit, dried apricot laced with fresh herbs. The bouquet is singing and supported by a slightly creamy, fresh and sweet palate.

Quince, fresh green herbs, even whiffs of saffron, maybe even elements of tropical fruit. Viscous and concentrated, rich, good depth with some nice spicy layers on the palate. The acidity is fresh and beautifully integrated. Another highly palatable Vin de Constance and to date I can’t really pick a favorite vintage.

DSS Rich amber colour, honeyed nose, raisin and cedar. Good acid to balance the sweetness. Wood on the palate. Quite delicious.
