  • WOTN for me in a Rhone tasting sub 100$. 100% rousanne I believe. The nose shows oxidation but in a good way. It's smells beautifully, and tastes the same. Apples, a bit of peaches, but not the tropical flavor I am used in northern AOCs such as Condrieu. Great wine.

  • Hint of sweetness on the nose, yellow fruit, flowers, orange, spices, no oak and with a natural hint. Surprisingly good for a N. Rhône Blanc.

  • Atypically for a St. Joseph, which is planted mainly to Syrah and Marsanne, this is 100% Roussanne.

Intense, youthful neon green color. Young, ripe and somewhat green-toned nose with aromas of white peach, some sappy herbal tones, a little bit of floral spice, light creaminess from the oak, light smoky tones, a hint of savory wood spice and a touch of chopped and roasted nuts. The wine is full-bodied, ripe yet fresh and structured on the palate with quite concentrated flavors of tart green apples, apricots, some creamy richness, a little bit of stony minerality and a hint of smoke. The high acidity lends great sense of focus to this rather big and concentrated white. The finish is long, juicy and precise with bright, complex flavors of creaminess, sappy herbal spice, some peachy stone fruit, a little bit of juicy orchard fruit, light buttery tones and a hint of savory toffee oak.

A wonderfully complex, balanced and structured Northern Rhône white. It's quite big and concentrated one for sure, but also showing remarkable freshness and sense of structure at the same time. For a naturalist wine the wine is remarkably fresh and pure with beautifully clean overall character and nary a hint of funk in sight. There's a hint of evidence on the oak aging, but the overall emphasis is on the concentrated Roussanne fruit. An impressive effort that is drinking beautifully now and shows good potential for future development. Highly recommended, priced according to its quality at 39€.
