Beautiful floral bouquet. Nice tannins with some grip which provide structure. Good acidity. Pronounced flavors of blackberry and bing cherry. Medium+ finish. Even better on night 2.

Really quite good, but I do now clearly believe it has plateaued, and probably at risk from dropping off. Drink remaining bottles in cellar within next 6-12 months.

Pretty darn good. Big fan of the Mailbox merlot. This couldn't have been more of a classic merlot. And if you think about it, some really solid merlots come off Spring Mountain. My question is whether there is any more life in cellar left for the few more bottles we have. I don't see it improving, and could actually see it starting to drop off.

This wine is entering nits sweet spot. Bright raspberry, strawberries, plums and roses on the nose. The palate has a nice frame of acid and tannins with dark red fruits trying to shine through but not quite there yet. After two hours of airs it fills out nicely and provides a pretty long finish. This wine will continue to age and evolve gracefully for the next 5 years.
