Medium light straw gold color. Good nose of light fruit, pear and mellow spice. Great fruit taste, pear with some mango and a bit of citrus on the sides of the mouth. Oak is really in the background, very lightly. Medium body. This is excellent, almost old world, Chardonnay.

Light medium golden yellow color; mature, rounded, butter, baked lemon, light hazelnut nose, reminiscent of a mature Raveneau Chablis; rich, poised, tart lemon, hazelnut, lemon butter palate with light briny quality; medium-plus finish

Drank at a Melville dinner - surprisingly well-preserved, elegant, balanced. Much like a puligny-montrachet in style.

Melville Wine Dinner (Antonello Ristorante - Costa Mesa, CA): Notes of honeydew melon, citrus rind, and margarita mix. Round and elegant on the palate, with a nice smokey note on the finish. 90-91 points.

Smooth tastes of oak and minerals, but not a lot of fruit.
