Really elegant. Lovely color. Roses, tobacco, bit of orange rind, touch of earth. Still very fresh and lively (streaks of acidity). Based on this experience I would think good bottles have years ahead of top notch drinking. NB: First bottle opened had cooked prune nose and the color was muddy and we discarded.

Great fill level. Cork crumbled. Pale red/orange. Looked like something much older. However, it did reveal some very pretty florals, some smokey earthy tones, gentle spice and a silky palate. This particular bottle had seen better days though.

Started orange brick color & turned into deeper burgundy color within minutes surprising us with the freshness of the fruit profile for such an age bottle. This is at a beautiful place with soft integrated tannins and a silky palate. Balanced fresh and very tasty bottle that continued to improve for an hr or so and stayed in the zone for several more. I am guessing this is at peak but bottles in this condition should easily last another 5+ years at this level. Beautiful mature barbaresco.

Lovely perfumed cherry conserve, horehound, aorange rind, chanel perfume, restrained menthol and spice. Beautiful over the mid palate, long finish, still with plenty of tannins. Very, very pretty, nicely balanced.
