Rich; Very complex; An earlier note called it a Belgian beer quality - I think that nails it; Steong fruit - ripe peach?; Medium length clean finish; Nice

Puts up quite a show today. Deep golden. Seville oranges, tangerine and sweet lemon zest. An alluring earthy note of liquorice and angelica root but not heavy at all as there's also some herbaceousness, tarragon and lemon verbena, intermingling. Well structured, generous acids and some tannins giving a nice bite. Some butterscotch but not sweet at all. Bloody lovely!

Apples & Oranges (Chicago, IL): Hand soap, honeyed florals, tropical tones, and spice. Super exotic, but this is super dense and rich, with a good dose of acidity to boot. Good concentration, the touch of sweet fruit also adds to the sense of fullness in this wine. Weird, but for a change, in a pleasant way.

8/22/2020 - fred o. Likes this wine:
Light striking orange.
Nose melon, light phenols, some stone fruit.
Palate smooth orange pith, some mineral. Maybe could have more acidity? a bit flabby but shines more with a chill, and with lighter food. 89 pts

(Old note - tasting date not accurate) Looks like apple juice; Tastes like a Belgian beer - almost a sour; Richness builds in the glass
