A little reductive funk on opening the screwcap, but that quickly blows off to reveal a really lovely red-fruited wine. Light garnet in the glass, the aromas are in the high register—tart strawberry, tart blackberry and sweet cranberry and pomegranate. Light bodied and Super gluggable at 11.5% alcohol, not a trace of tannin. Delicious stuff. Really really like this. If you like the more red-fruited aromatic single vineyard mourvedres in Dirty & Rowdy’s lineup you will like this too.

garnet color, nose meaty with savory/herbal notes. palate light but full-flavored, strong flavors of papaya, smoky finish. Great slightly chilled, with food. A unique expression of Cali mourvedre, one I've enjoyed following over multiple vintages, I felt like it was a good QPR for what it was. Unsure what the other reviews are about but will be looking out for this again in the future.

a year in the cellar has made this a great wine. Bright acidity, red fruit, a little tannin, almost Pinot like, herbs and forest, great
