Lodi and Beyond (Wine Wizards Stockton): This wine is really focused on oak, buttery oak with a hint of cherries, the oak is soft and mostly integrated. Drinks well but the Tempranillo personality is dominated by the oak. Well balanced and slightly tannic I like it, but as a nicely oaked red rather than a Tempranillo.

Contunues to develop in the bottle and was great with the lamb. I think another year of bottle age would serve this wine well.

Paella (Markus and Liz's): Barrel and cherries. Sweet textured and well balanced. Great linger. A lovely drinking wine.
