  • 92 is where this one was, but is probably 89 to 90 right now. I see this wine holding for another few years but already has lost a step on the finish. Seemed to have more power than it did today. Still with decent acidity, this wine is honeydew and cantaloupe. Some Asian pear. Hint of herbal quality. Decent finish. I'd say if you have this wine, it is better to drink without food at this point.

  • If this wine was tasted alongside bottles from long-time producers of this wine back in Graves, it would blend right in. Very good density and structure. Very consistently good. Poured with a straw color, this wine had a sharp, crisp front with good melon and tangerine rind notes that immediately softened the wine. The middle of this wine started more along the supple side with rounded edges, but acidity built to a very nice finish that had some herb, some melon, some tangerine, and still got the hint of creme brulee. Putting my rating officially at 92.

  • This is the 2014 Graves White Blend. The wine has the grip to power through yet somehow still complement Mediterranean spiced chicken soup. This wine pours a light straw color in the glass. Nose is a bit of lime and lemon, limestone, and a nondescript herb. Entry is more of an extension of the nose. The middle was where acidity built and more lemon and lime zest finished this one out. Always seemed to have a nice acidity and medium weight and density. The wine went well with spiced chicken but surprisingly went better with the Andes mint I had after dinner where a lime crème Brulee kind of finish showed up. Completely unexpected!
