In my cellar since release, decanted for 2 hours before tasting over several more. Dark garnet, slightly translucent. The nose show some distinct oak induced notes of vanilla and light sweet spice along with red berries and graphite. The palate exhibits bright acidity, modest tannins, graphite and an array of red fruit like cherry along with some black raspberry (not blackberry) and bitter chocolate and cedar on the finish. The extra cellar time has helped this improve I think. Really well controlled and balanced, not over-done in any parameter unlike many Napa Cabs these days. Excellent with a wood fire grilled top sirloin cap roast.

This red was very enjoyable albeit a step down from the Bressler cab. Pretty smooth , nose was missing fruit , the better red wines I drink tend to be multidimensional. The Bressler Young Vines didn't have that going on this evening. Enjoy.

30% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 14.7% ABV from the young vines of a vineyard managed by David Abreu…260 cases of 750ml bottles and 60 magnums made by Mia Klein two vintages before the Bressler’s closed down after the 2015 vintage.
Decanted and tasted over several hours. Medium to dark garnet with a crimson edge. Nose is slightly floral (violets) and oak influenced notes of vanilla, chocolate and sweet spices. Palate is balanced, more so than many Cali Cabs these days even though its from young vines but probably because of its more “Right Bank” blend. Fine grained tannins and medium (+) acidity underscore some nice cassis, blackberry and plum fruit flavors. Relatively young and fresh but starting to develop some secondary nuances, but I think this is one worth drinking relatively young. Enjoyable with grilled steaks as well as by itself. Excellent QPR.
