  • I didn't plan to age this 9 years, but here we are, and I'll be damned if it didn't turn out to be a lovely bottle of riesling. Notes of sugar cane (a bit reminiscent of pinot blanc), quinine (or at least what made me think of a G&T), citrus and a bit of petrol on the nose and palate. Lovely acidity and juicy mouthfeel, dry, yet still ample-fruited, absolutely food-friendly but also nicely quaffable on its on. Got this for just under $10 in a K&L special years ago –– what a bargain. Your well-stored bottle (the one of you that has the last remaining botttle in CT, anyways) should be fine for another year or two ... such is the virtue of riesling.

  • Clean, light, and enjoyable. A dry, bistro quality wine likely to pair well with food. 86-87.
