Sierra de Gredos Tasting (Concord, MA): Group's least favorite (by a slim margin) and my #5 of the six Sierra de Gredos granachas in the flight. There's really nothing wrong here; it's just that all the other wines offered more distinctive flavors, while this was just straight down the middle: round, strawberry to sweet cherry; pleasant, but not memorable. Definitely not as interesting as the 2014.

Riding the line between high toned aromatics and VA but doesn’t quite go over the edge. Bright red fruits, some herbaceous notes, a little angular on the palate such a fun wine.

Nice Grenache. It has a sort of rustic edge to me, wonderful fruit of dark raisins and pecans, with medium body and a truncated finish. Captivating nose with hints of vanilla, lavender and cedar. Quite a contrast to the Washington State Grenaches I drink.

Cool stuff (high altitude Grenache). Crunchy w nice acidity, tart strawberry/cherry, medium finish and a savory note.
