Surprisingly open for Le Bourg. Typical nose of dust, herbs, pine needles and fresh blackcurrants. Very elegant and refined nose. On the palate it is medium bodied and mature but tart mid palate. Long refreshing finish

Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. If you like CabFanc buy this. I know its not cheap but such a beauty, precise, leafy, red fruit, sous bois.

Small friends gathering (Q by Peter Chang - Bethesda, Maryland): Classic Clos Rougeard cab franc nose displaying perfectly ripe red fruit, strawberry, raspberry, a hint of animal, pepper, rose, tree bark, sap, ash and earth. Very good concentration, finely layered medium concentrated sweet red fruit, rich but beautifully balanced, medium acidity, earthy mineral, and a long perfectly ripe sweet red fruit driven floral finish. There is a hint of tannins at the end. This is a textbook expression of Clos Rougeard, drinking beautifully.

The '15 Le Bourg is a very enjoyable young wine, that can clearly age for a while, but I thought was open and elegant enough to drink well today.
The nose was highly expressive, with stunning aromatics of rich dark red strawberry and raspberry fruit, iron, earth, and peppery and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine was remarkably elegant with minimal tannins, and medium in body with fantastic acidity and a ton of energy. I found red raspberry fruit, smoke, iron, and earth, with smoky red fruit and earth lingering on the palate.
