  • Clear medium ruby; clean medium nose of iodine, jammy red cherries, red currants, soil and barnyard; dry; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; high alcohol; medium body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with addition of cocoa and tar; long finish; lithe, silky wine that’s developed beautifully over the last couple years; sad this is our last bottle; drink now or soon - lovely balance of fruit and tertiary

Boire d'ici 2024.

  • Lush and dense on the palette, tannins very soft, more subdued and velvety than I expected. Black fruit dominant, tobacco, some chocolate flavours, medium finish. Enjoyable but not likely to get better at this point, so I'd say drink up!

  • Meaty beaty big and bouncy! Fragrant blackberry Grenache Syrah nose leads to full flavored mouthful of a special Columbia Valley Rhone blend. Long finish. Big enough to accompany hearty meals. While delicious now, those holding this wine for a year or two should be rewarded. In my mind a good price quality ratio.

  • My impression tonight is about the same as it was 15 months ago. This is a fine wine—it is. But CT is saying it’s value is $63.69 right now, and that, at least to me, seems like it’s pretty well on the high side. Nice dark fruit flavors with some tannins and acid to match, some other tobacco and oak nuance, and a nice long finish. If I had another bottle, I’d hold it for a couple of years to see if my opinion changed.
