Bought 6 as a Garagiste mystery in 2018 and have been underwhelmed. Decent wine (88-89) but lousy QPR at $37. Certainly not worth $60+ as advertised.
This was the 5th and it was better than the others. Sappy and spicy with good length. I think it may just be coming into its own and I may have drunk the others too young. I’ll hold the last one for a few years.

Deep purple black. Nose black fruit cherry and plum and black raspberry and garrigue and anise notes. Blind i think I would have guessed rhone. Palate shows oak more strongly and shows heat and sweetness. Big fruit. Ripe and crossover new and old world.

This wine was pleasant but had nothing in particular going for it. Definitely pinot, but with a muted nose and short finish.

Dark: tastes and smells of pommard
Best descriptor I can think of is "gentle". Less acidity than I expected of Bannockburn....then I saw the California connection
So so QPR
