  • Beautiful straw golden color. At first, the aroma is that of peach and apricot but after 30 minutes, it opens up to an intoxicating aroma of tropical fruits and hibiscus. The taste far exceedes the aromas delivering a pronounced passion fruit with crisp, balanced acidity and finishing with a floral briny saline aftertaste. It’s a complete and balanced experience of aroma and taste of your favorite tropical beach. It was like sucking on a passion fruit while swinging in a hammock being caressed by a dewy tropic breeze for me. I was transported immediately back to Hawaii. I might have cabin fever while being stuck indoors in the middle of an Artic blast but I’m grateful for the mini vaca with just a few sips of this delectable wine.

  • Cracked and poured at fridge temp. Very expressive with strong passionfruit, nettles and grass, quite enjoyable. The palate is quite fat, with passionfruit and lemon, oily but with good acidity to hold it up. A full-bodied and fragrant wine, very nice!

  • Appearance: Clear, pale lemon-green colour, some legs
Nose: Clean, medium intensity, tropical aromas, some minerality, youthful
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium (+) body, medium alcohol, medium (+) intensity, tropical flavours (some mango, lychee), some minerality, citrus fruits, medium (+) finish.
Conclusions: good wine, should drink now, has some limited potential for ageing
Inexpensive wine, refreshing, good for summer days with seafood. Well balanced, with clean flavours and aromas

  • Flight on a flight (SFO-AKL) (AirNZ): Medium minus yellow color (has a touch of color)
Pronounced nose with classic aromas of grass and grapefruit, and hints of passionfruit and ripe mandarin orange.
On the palate, it feels like slight RS, maybe 2-3g? (this is likely close - the 2015 had 4g/L according to the producer website).
Slightly elevated alcohol - feels 13.5%. Medium plus acid. No phenolic bitterness. Clear flavors and a clean finish.

A great example of entry-level Sauv Blanc.
