Pleasing aromas of strawberry, blueberry, and a faint, harmonious whiff of anise. Flavors of tart summer strawberries and wild Cherry. Light to medium bodied, perfectly enjoyable at cellar temp on its own or with a herbed grilled chicken breast or perhaps a turkey burger with a swipe of grainy Dijonnaise.

A very pleasant Burgundy from a less heralded commune. Had Belland’s Gravieres 2013 & 2014 before and they were solid Burgs too. Delicious & great value.

Pale ruby, light color for a Pinot. Nose of violets, blueberry, bery floral. Delicate palate, also here on the light side, a ballerina. Solid but not grand.

This is a nice, easy drinking Santenay. That’s a way of saying it’s classy enough to introduce your semi-sophisticated wine friends to alternate terroirs to Beaune let’s say. Light to medium body, deep acidity and mild, early summer red fruit. It will age a few more years (3-5?) but I won’t hold a spot in my cellar for it for that long.
