  My second bottle in about 6 weeks. This one showed beautiful notes of delicately scented nectarine and lime zest. This bottle had much more of what I was hoping for in terms of verve and mid-palate presence. Very fine and spicy with flinty minerality and pretty tones of sweet herbs.
  These are very well make wines with wonderful pedigree and class. I am still in awe of the incredible production of this winery. But I feel like I am starting to see what all the hype is about. This was an absolutely beautiful bottle of kabinett.

  Wanting to get a better handle on the wines of Markus Molitor, so I plan to open a few over the next couple of months. The professional reviews and glowing, the amount of different bottlings are mind boggling, but mixed opinions from friends. The time has come to dig a little deeper and form an educated personal opinion.
  White nectarines, herbaceous, spicy, saline and easy going. Lacks mid-palate verve. Not sure if the mid palate softness speaks to the current stage of the wine development or an indication of the house style.
  More research to be done.

  Nose that must be coaxed out, tangy juicy mouth with an equivalent length. Sort of light overall. Good notes maybe better in a few years.

  Perfect compliment tonight to pork chops with apples on one of the first cool nights of autumn. Aromatic and a good match to the acidity, tart, and sweet of the apples sauted in butter.
