Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86 points

  • Tasted at the winery. Cherry, raspberry and some smoky spiciness on the nose. Between medium and full bodied and strongly tannic on the finish at this stage. Red cherry and raspberry upfront with really good depth and nice mid-body roundness. Then the tannins drop with a bang. Probably needs two years for these tannins to start to come into balance with the fruit. There's enough going on as far as fruit is concerned to make it worthwhile to wait for the time when it does integrate and can show off that fruit to the best effect.

Lots of tannins, dries the mouth, light acidity, some strawberry, very closed.
