  • Deep color. The nose shows rich aromas of black currants, oak, smoke, cedar, flowers and a hint of herbs. This is full bodied on the palate with very good concentration and good class. Good balance. The medium plus length finish features some wood tannins.

  • Nose: Almost unripe, bright cherries (like the ones that are still bright yellow and have not completely rippened yet).. mixed with some oak, almost making it smell like sour oak. Almost like really dried out tobacco smell?.. take that with a handful of salt.. I'm not exactly an experienced user of tobacco products. Oak is there for sure though.

Palate: Darker fruit than the fruit on the nose.. there's enough oak in this to let me know it's there but not enough to completely turn me away.

Slightly dark, ruby colored that is still slightly translucent. Dry but still has good fruit, medium plus body. Smooth and fine tannins. Smooth, almost creamy, fruit on the front of the palate as it transitions to an oaky and bitter finish. Actually has a good finish of about 4-5+ seconds.. but the lingering finish is oaky and I'm not a fan of that. Still, approachable now but will definitely need some decanting. There will definitely be those that may enjoy this but this is not really my preference. The Synthesis was a hit for me though.
