Well past its drinking window but still absolutely delicious, dried fruit, mocha, pot pourri. A nice acidity adds freshness, great balance a very enjoyable bottle.

Full, balanced, black centre. Nose a true reflection of taste. Good with food. Enjoyable mix of bramble and red fruit. At it’s peak, no sign of added sophistication, but great fruit and enjoyment now.

Dark at the core. Plum and clove on the nose. Fruity, plum, prune, peppery; mouth-drying tannins. Rather a lot of oak. I am sure it has a good few years ahead. Biggish.

Fruity nose, plum and dark berry fruit, also mint and tea. Juicy in mouth and youthful though not tannic. Liquorice back end, and heavy-feeling at 14.5%. For a ‘GS’ in the GSM mould I’m finding it a bit unknitted. But also I suspect it will improve a lot over time. The label says it will do ‘careful cellaring’ for ‘up to 6 years’ but it’s already 7 and I am thinking it will go at least another 3-4.

Watery rim. Strong smell of blackberry and dark fruit. Peppery. Tannins still a bit dry.
Overall very Enjoyable .
