This one was a very pleasant surprise. Dark for a Pinot Noir but not upsettingly dark, and more bricking than I'd expect for a wine of this age. On pop-and-pour this was a bit awkward, but after an hour it rounded out very nicely and continued to improve over time. Mulberry - fresh and baked - Christmas pudding, potpourri, warm oak, forest floor. On the palate the acid is medium, juicy. Soft tannin, a touch bitter on the back. The high alcohol is quite well handled, actually. And it finishes nicely - some almond from the oak, but not too granular/woody. This isn't my preferred style of Pinot Noir, but it's quite good for what it is, and an absolute steal for the <$10 price paid at Grocery Outlet. 14.8%. 88+

Drink now! Its ready! Acid and tannin have leveled out leaving a great fruit forward nose and palette.
