Decanted 90 minutes before service - this seemed to be about right, an unexpected twist. In the glass, expectations met: youthful, saturated purplish-red, no sign of aging here, and similarly on the nose, with currants, plums, and a touch of fresh ground coffee. On the palate, however, instead of the structured and assertive tannins I was expecting, I found ripe fruit on a soft, silky body, with some structure on the finish, but nothing like the typical Napa cab after ten years in the cellar. That softness allowed some beguiling herbal aromatics to come through as the wine continued to open. Based on this performance, I'd recommend opening one right now, especially if you have more than one bottle.

Caymus, this is not ! At first she was so quiet, I was skeptical (pop n pour)... but the classic Napa cab aromatics and fruits emerge and get deeper and deeper as time goes by. All while nicely dry and balanced. Cheers!

I wish Andy Smith would lean heavier into Cab releases similar to his Larkmead days. Dude really knows his stuff. This is a no brainer. If you find it, buy it. Dark cherry, perfectly balanced. 60 min decant.

Lush fruit, blackberry compote, blueberries, cassis, just delicious, lacked structure and tannic backbone, but very voluptuous
