WOTN against some serious new world syrahs (Amon Ra and Donelan Richards Family Vineyard)...Raspberry, blackberry, sweet spice and some cigar box aromas shape a beautiful, well integrated wine.

Similar to the bottles i drank last year. Opened and slow ox'd for 3 hours. Dark fruit and hints of mocha on the nose. The palate was berry, plum, fig, tobacco, charred meat, mocha and spice. The finish goes on and on and on and on

P&P. Cork was stinky on the pop...less so the wine, but still affected by TCA, of which I'm particularly sensitive. My buddy didn't taste it and the wine was still pretty good stuff, especially after several hours of air when some of the TCA had blown off. Black fruits, some wild brambly, leathery stuff, but I can't get past the flaw. Sad!

Decanted for sediment. Still on the tight side. Still about the same a couple hours later.

Badly corked. Perfect storage, but off the charts TCA.
